Our Programs
Over the Rainbow adheres to all Rhode Island State regulations for staff hiring and screening, requiring all employees to pass a rigorous background check prior to employment. Our teachers complete at least 20 hours of professional development annually, as mandated by the Department of Human Services (DHS). We also encourage our teachers to pursue or continue their early childhood education by offering scholarships through the TEACH program in partnership with the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Rhode Island College (RIC).

CACFP Statement of Participation
Over the Rainbow Learning Center proudly participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a federally funded program that supports the provision of nutritious meals and snacks to children in care.
Through CACFP, we help ensure that children in our program receive nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks that meet USDA guidelines for balanced nutrition. Our menus are thoughtfully planned to promote healthy growth and development while considering the diverse tastes and dietary needs of the families we serve.
Our participation in CACFP reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the health and well-being of every child in our care. By encouraging healthy eating habits from an early age, we help build a strong foundation for lifelong health, growth, and learning.
For additional CACFP information and our USDA Nondiscrimination Statement, please visit our CACFP Disclosure page.
